Radu Miruță, the interim Minister of Defense, stated that the Sadu Mechanical Plant in Gorj, part of the ROMARM company, has modernized two production lines for NATO ammunition. Following some investments, the plant underwent a cleaning and sanitization process, having previously faced delayed salaries and poor conditions.

The produced munitions are of small and medium caliber. Additionally, Miruță mentioned that the American company US Ballistics will rent halls on the Sadu II platform, generating an annual income of 1.4 million euros. The plant previously paid 500,000 euros for security, and now receives advances from US Ballistics.

Romania has 15 ROMARM factories, including the Mechanical Plant in Cugir and the Defence Vehicles Factory in Petrești, which contribute to the production of military equipment compliant with NATO standards.

Development projects are underway, including collaborations with international companies for the production of vehicles and armaments.
