The total hydrocarbon production of Romgaz was 15.67 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe) in the first six months of the year, down 3.2% compared to the same period last year, according to a preliminary report published on Monday at the Bucharest Stock Exchange.
The quantity of natural gas extracted was 15.44 million boe, registering a decrease of 3.4%. In contrast, condensate production increased by 10.3%, reaching 230,000 boe.
The natural gas marketed from domestic production totaled 2.36 billion cubic meters, down 6.4%. Electricity production was 182 GWh, marking a significant decrease of 46.7%.
The gas extracted from storage totaled 1.47 billion cubic meters, with an increase of 17.8%, while injected gas decreased by 17.8%, reaching 764.1 million cubic meters.
Romgaz's activities include the exploration and production of natural gas, underground storage, gas supply, well services, and electricity production.
Romgaz has been listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since 2013, with the Romanian state as the main shareholder, holding 70% of the shares.
