Romania faces a labor shortage of more than 600,000 people, with 500,000 people out of the labor force. Romanians going abroad and young NEETs are contributing to the crisis. Employers are increasingly relying on foreign workers, especially from Nepal, Sri Lanka, Turkey and India, to fill vacancies in sectors such as manufacturing and construction. Although the number of foreign workers has increased, the need for labor remains significantly higher.
