The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) has allocated Romanian farmers financial aid totaling 15.685 million lei, intended for livestock breeders.

These funds were requested through payment applications for services rendered in the third and fourth quarters of 2025, as well as in January 2026. The payment was made by the county APIA centers, and the money comes from the state budget, through the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, according to Emergency Ordinance no. 61/2023.

Additionally, the Government intends to supplement the budget of the state aid scheme for reducing the excise duty on diesel used in agriculture by 94.3 million lei, thus increasing the total allocated from 620 million lei to 714 million lei. This measure is included in a draft Government Decision, and for the year 2026, the reduced excise duty on diesel used in agriculture will be 106.72 lei per 1,000 liters.
