The Agency for Payments and Intervention in Agriculture (APIA) has begun paying state aid for diesel used in agriculture during the second quarter of this year. The payments target farmers in the crop production, livestock and land improvement sectors.
The total amount allocated for this stage exceeds 150 million lei. The money will be transferred to beneficiaries’ accounts in the coming period, following the completion of the administrative procedures conducted by APIA.
The support represents the equivalent of part of the excise duty on diesel used to carry out agricultural work and activities specific to livestock farming and land improvement. Payment is made based on applications submitted and checks carried out by the authorities.
Through this mechanism, the state aims to reduce the costs borne by farmers for fuel and support agricultural activities. APIA will continue transferring the amounts to beneficiaries as eligible applications are processed.
