The Minister of Agriculture, Florin Barbu, stated that Romania rejects the European Commission's proposal to integrate the Common Policy into the Common Fund, arguing that it would create implementation difficulties. Romania received an allocation of 61 million euros, much lower compared to 162 million euros from the previous period. Barbu emphasizes the need for adequate and separate funds for agricultural and fishing policy. The meeting of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council will address proposals for the post-2027 CAP, agri-food trade, and regulations in the fishing sector.
