Dragos Pislaru, the Minister of Investments and European Projects, emphasized the necessity for Romania to absorb nearly 11 billion euros from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) in the next six months. He updated the status of ongoing projects, classifying them based on the degree of completion, and mentioned that, so far, 10.15 billion euros from the PNRR have been spent.
Pislaru has implemented a traffic light system to assess the progress of projects, identifying measures at risk of non-fulfillment. He warned that there is no room for delays or renegotiations, emphasizing the political responsibility of ministers for the completion of the assumed projects.
According to the minister, the success of the PNRR will be visible in infrastructure, education, and digitalization, while failure will lead to financial losses and penalties.
