The Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, emphasized the need for large energy projects in Romania that should benefit from solid and predictable financing, in a Facebook post after the meeting with John Jovanovic, the president of the Export-Import Bank of the United States. Ivan mentioned that, in the complicated regional context, it is essential to develop projects with a direct impact on the economy and energy security.
During the discussions, he proposed expanding cooperation in the nuclear field and other strategic investments, highlighting the importance of applied financial partnerships. Additionally, Ivan had a prior meeting with the president of the World Bank Group, Ajay Banga, as part of a ministerial delegation participating in the World Bank and IMF spring meeting in Washington D.C.
