Radu Miruță said that Romania has a significant advantage with the Baia de Fier graphite deposit, essential for artificial intelligence technologies. The license to exploit it has been extended and the purity of Romanian graphite makes it extremely valuable. Although Romania has mining know-how, the challenge remains finding the financing and technologies needed to process graphite into graphene. The value of this mineral is steadily increasing, given the growing demand generated by AI development.
