Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan emphasized the importance of Romania's accession to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) during discussions with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz. Romania aims to improve its standards, develop more effective public policies, and gain greater international credibility. The accession process began in 2022 and, to date, the country has received 18 positive opinions from the evaluation committees. To finalize the accession, Romania needs favorable opinions from all 25 committees. The final evaluation is scheduled for March of this year, marking an important step towards Romania's integration into the OECD.
