The PSD's proposal to create a working group for drafting a bill regarding judges' pensions has not been accepted in the coalition, according to political sources. Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan rejected the initiative during the coalition meeting, preferring to initiate discussions at the Government level for the assumption of a new project.

This delay could lead to exceeding the deadline of November 28 set by the European Commission for the adoption of the law, which could affect Romania's access to European funds. European Commissioner Valdis Dombrovskis emphasized that an extension of the deadline will not be accepted. The interim president of the PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, expressed concern that without the establishment of the working group, Romania risks losing European money, highlighting the need to quickly approve the law before the deadline.
