The social democrats decided to postpone negotiations with the designated Prime Minister Adrian Veștea, scheduled for Tuesday morning, following the ultimatum received by him from Ilie Bolojan, who asked him to submit his mandate by 10:00, according to sources close to the PSD and quoted by Digi24.
Sorin Grindeanu, the leader of the PSD, stated that Veștea's nomination is constitutional and that he will discuss with the liberal about forming the new Government. Bolojan emphasized that Veștea does not have the party's support and that, in the absence of submitting his mandate, he will be excluded from the PNL. He requested President Nicușor Dan to resume consultations with political parties to find a governing solution, including the possibility of a minority government. Bolojan mentioned that PNL parliamentarians will vote according to the party's instructions, and discussions with political partners will continue to clarify the political and economic situation of Romania.
