Primark will open a new store in the ElectroPutere Parc shopping center in Craiova at the beginning of June, marking the brand's fifth location in Romania. Bertrand Catteau, CEO of Catinvest, emphasized that the opening of this store confirms the development direction of the project and its attractiveness for international brands. Recently, ElectroPutere Parc benefited from an investment of 22 million euros, which allowed the attraction of important retailers to the region. Alongside Craiova, Primark will also open stores in Iași, Sibiu, and Bacău by the end of 2026, thus creating new jobs. The brand already has four stores in Romania, in Bucharest, Timișoara, and Cluj-Napoca, and its ongoing expansion is supported by a successful global history, with over 450 stores. Primark, founded in Ireland in 1969, is known for offering clothing at affordable prices.
