President Nicușor Dan stated that he hopes a solution will be found to lower fuel prices by the government meeting on Thursday. He emphasized that all parties in the governing coalition also want to address the issue of prices.

Nicușor Dan appreciated that the Government reacted quickly to the price crisis, mentioning that measures have already been taken to reduce them. He also highlighted that discussions with market players are ongoing. The President explained that for citizens, it is less relevant whether VAT or excise duties will be reduced, but rather the impact that these measures will have on the final price.

He assured that the measures taken will lead to a decrease in prices, but mentioned that fluctuations in the price of oil on the global market will influence the future situation.
