The National Bank of Romania announced a rate of 5.0645 lei per euro, up from 5.0600 lei on Friday. The dollar rose to 4.3179 lei and the pound sterling climbed slightly to 5.8692 lei. The Swiss franc fell to 5.4146 lei. Gold was also quoted at 459.5007 lei per gram, down from 460.7924 lei.
