Claudiu Năsui, USR deputy, criticized the PSD's intention to allocate 2 billion lei for a social assistance package, emphasizing that this should be done by reducing other expenses, not by increasing the budget deficit. Năsui stated that if the PSD opts for borrowing, they should take responsibility for the budget, suggesting that USR parliamentarians will not vote for amendments that would increase public spending.
He mentioned that, in the event of the budget not being adopted, the state could operate with a monthly budget based on 1/12 of the previous year, which would not necessarily be negative, considering a possible budget surplus. Năsui warned that the political instability generated by alliances with extremists could negatively affect citizens, especially those concerned about rising prices.
