In the first ten months of 2025, industrial production decreased by 0.9% compared to 2024, but increased by 3.9% in October, due to electricity and the extractive industry.

The data from the National Institute of Statistics shows that, in the first ten months of 2025, industrial production decreased by 0.9% compared to the same period in 2024, with a decline of 1.4% in the extractive industry and 1.2% in the manufacturing industry. However, in October 2025, industrial production (raw series) increased by 3.9% compared to the previous month, due to significant increases in the electricity sector (+15.8%) and in the extractive industry (+4.2%). Adjusted production based on working days increased by 0.4% compared to the previous month, mainly due to electricity (+5.5%). Compared to October 2024, industrial production increased by 0.2%, supported by the energy sector (+6.6%), while the extractive and manufacturing industries recorded declines.
