On Thursday, the price of gold hit an all-time record, rising to 467.2986 lei/gram, after a recent 10 lei drop. Over the past 12 months, the price has risen by more than 100 lei, influenced by increased demand from central banks and economic instability. Gold has also recently surpassed the 3,200 dollar an ounce threshold on international markets. Analysts expect the price to continue to rise, forecasting values between 3,400 and 3,500 dollars an ounce in the coming months.
