Fuels have undergone a new price increase, being the fourth time since November, with diesel exceeding 8 lei per liter. In the last month, the price of diesel has increased by 44 bani, and the gas station in Timișoara reports a price of 8.08 lei for diesel and 7.59 lei for gasoline. This increase, of 3.1% for diesel and 1.3% for gasoline, will have a domino effect on the prices of products, especially during the winter holiday season, due to higher transportation costs. Drivers feel these price hikes, trying to limit their travels. Romania ranks 11th in the EU regarding gasoline prices and 15th for diesel.
