The European Commission has announced €100 billion in aid for green manufacturing, part of the 'Clean Industrial Deal' to cut carbon emissions.

The financial aid is designed to support organic production in the face of competition from China and the US. The commission faces funding constraints and its plan aims to mobilize more than €100bn for clean production. The funding will focus on an 'industrial decarbonization bank' and is expected to attract private sector investment.
