In May 2025, industrial production grew by 1.7% in the euro area and by 1.5% in the European Union compared with April 2025, following a previous decline. Compared with May 2024, annual increases were 3.7% in the euro area and 3.4% in the EU. Significant increases were observed in consumer non-durables, while intermediate goods fell. The highest monthly increases were in Ireland, Malta and Germany, and the largest decreases in Croatia, Slovakia and Belgium.
