Gas and electricity prices decreased in the European Union in the first half of 2025, according to Eurostat data. Gas prices fell by 8.1%, while electricity prices decreased by 0.5%, marking a return to more stable levels compared to the energy crisis period. Romania is among the countries with the lowest gas (0.0559 euro/kWh) and electricity (0.1447 euro/kWh) prices, alongside Hungary and Croatia. The highest rates were recorded in Sweden and Germany.
