The U.S. Department of Justice published thousands of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein on Friday, which contain numerous references to former President Bill Clinton, but very few to current President Donald Trump. This publication was made possible by a law passed in November that requires authorities to make all Epstein files public. The documents include evidence from investigations and photographs of Clinton, but are largely redacted, and the analysis of other documents is still ongoing.
Justice Department officials distributed images of Clinton and Epstein, and representatives of Clinton accused the administration of trying to distract from other aspects of the case. Additionally, House Democrats released emails from Epstein, including one in which he claimed that Trump 'knew about the girls.' Trump accused the Democrats of promoting an 'Epstein hoax,' while Republicans brought up Trump's visits to Epstein's residence. The documents suggest that Epstein continued to have connections with influential people even after his 2008 conviction.
