The eighth increase in fuel prices in March: diesel exceeds 9 lei/liter at Petrom

Standard diesel has exceeded, on Friday, March 17, 2026, the price of 9 lei per liter at Petrom stations, following a price increase of 15 bani.

At OMV, diesel has already exceeded this threshold last Friday.

The price of standard gasoline has also increased by 10 bani per liter.

This is the eighth increase of fuel prices applied by Petrom since the beginning of the war in Iran.

At Petrom stations in the Capital, prices for gasoline range between 8.59 and 8.61 lei per liter, while standard diesel costs between 9.08 and 9.11 lei. At the Petrom Vitan station, a liter of standard gasoline is 8.59 lei, and standard diesel costs 9.10 lei.

In total, in March, diesel has increased by 73 bani per liter, and gasoline by 63 bani.
