CFR SA signed two contracts on Tuesday, totaling 957 million lei, for the modernization of signaling installations on railway sections from the Regional Branches of Railways Cluj and Timișoara. The first contract, concluded with an association led by Siemens Mobility, aims at the design and execution of works for several railway sections, including Sărățel - Dej and Timișoara Sud - Voiteni. The duration of the works is 30 months, with a warranty of 60 months. The second contract refers to the implementation of electronic centralizations in six railway stations, having the same association as a partner. These investments aim to increase productivity, reduce operating costs, and improve the safety of railway traffic by modernizing existing installations. The projects will streamline operations in railway nodes and ensure faster connections.
