The Minister of the Environment declared that the budget of the Administration of the Environmental Fund (AFM) has been finally approved, which will allow the continuation of work on over 500 ecological projects moved from the PNRR.

These projects include ecological islands, voluntary contribution centers, and investments in water and sewage networks. Although many construction sites have continued their work, payments could not be made until the budget was approved. The Minister emphasized that the necessary resources are now available and that some of the projects could be completed this year.

A new program for water and sewage has also been announced, with a budget of 1.5 billion lei, aimed at helping Romania avoid severe penalties for failing to carry out the necessary investments.
