The National Energy Regulatory Authority (ANRE) is proposing new rules for wholesale electricity transactions, aimed at discouraging speculators. ANRE suggests reducing the guarantee from 30% to 5% for contracts with delivery over 6 months and 10% for those of 6 months or less. The exception will be contracts with continuous double-trading. This measure aims to strengthen the transaction guarantee mechanisms, given the financial risks and speculation on the energy market.
