The Agroland Group, in collaboration with the Japanese company Kohshin, will develop a manure treatment unit in Mihăilești with an annual capacity of 15,000 tons, the largest in Romania, with completion planned for December 2025. Poultry manure, considered the most valuable fertilizer, will be utilized through a network of 250 own stores and clients from the AGRIBUSINESS division. The composting technology used allows for the transformation of bio-waste and manure into sanitized organic fertilizers through an aerobic fermentation process of approximately 30 days, which eliminates germs and parasites.
Romania generates about 35 million tons of manure annually, and the use of composting technologies is considered a solution for preserving soil fertility. Agroland aims to become a market leader by 2030, with a business of approximately one billion lei and an EBITDA margin of 12%, and aims to transfer to the Main Market of the Bucharest Stock Exchange by 2028. The group was founded in 1997 by Horia Cardoș, based on a small network of stores for farmers.
