The police in Switzerland arrested a 35-year-old Romanian and a 42-year-old Swiss, suspected of committing two violent robberies in April and May 2025. The two posed as police officers and robbed drivers who were resting at service stations on the highways, especially in the Forrenberg Nord and MyStop Süd areas.
During these robberies, the criminals asked the victims to show them their money, after which they fled with the loot. One incident escalated into violence when a victim tried to stop the robbery and was beaten and dragged by the car.
The investigation, conducted over several months, led to the location and arrest of the two suspects in the Fribourg canton. The court in Zurich ordered their preventive detention.
