The parents of the three young Romanians who died drowned in the middle of the Natisone River in Italy in the summer of 2024 are seeking compensation of nearly 4 million euros, citing moral and psychological damages caused by the live broadcast of the tragedy. The young people, caught by a flood, called 112 and were seen by passersby, but were not rescued in the critical 40 minutes. Italian prosecutors have charged four individuals, including firefighters and an emergency operator.
