An avalanche near the summit of Cima Vertana in Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy, resulted in the death of five German climbers, including a 17-year-old girl, and two were injured.

The first group, consisting of three people, was completely buried under snow, and all three died. From the second group, made up of four people, two climbers managed to save themselves, but they were injured and were transported to hospitals in the area. On Sunday morning, rescue teams found the bodies of a father and his 17-year-old daughter, who had been reported missing. The searches were difficult due to unfavorable weather conditions. Rescue services warned that the predicted snowfall in the coming days could worsen the situation, with additional risks at high altitudes.
