The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Romania has issued a warning for Romanian citizens traveling or currently in Portugal, informing them that on December 11 there will be a nationwide general strike, between the hours of 00:01 and 24:00. This strike will particularly affect the public sector, including administration, education, health, and transportation. The MFA estimates that the transportation sector, including air, rail, maritime, and local public transport, will experience the most significant disruptions, with substantial delays and possible cancellations of services. Romanian authorities recommend that citizens constantly check information from transport companies and follow official announcements. Romanian citizens in need of assistance can contact the Romanian Embassy in Lisbon or the emergency number of the diplomatic mission.
