On the occasion of the 145th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the Romanian Embassy in Madrid and the Romanian Cultural Institute, with the support of AGERPRES, are organizing the exhibition 'The Romania-Spain Relationship Reflected in the Press. A Bilateral Historical Perspective', which will take place between June 29 and July 26, 2026, at Paseo de Coches in El Retiro Park, Madrid.

The exhibition offers a documentary insight into the evolution of Romanian-Spanish relations, starting with their establishment in 1881. It brings together 20 panels illustrating key moments in bilateral history, using sources from the digital archives of the National Library of Spain and AGERPRES.

Visitors will be able to explore the cultural, sports, and economic contributions of both countries, as well as the evolution of the Romanian community in Spain. The last part of the exhibition emphasizes the Romanian-Spanish partnership in the context of European integration. Admission is free, thus promoting the image of Romania and the history of relations with Spain.
