A young woman was caught in the act by DIICOT prosecutors in Arad while picking up a package with 10 kilograms of cannabis.

A 24-year-old woman was caught in the act by DIICOT prosecutors in Arad while picking up a package from Spain, which contained nearly 10 kilograms of cannabis hidden among sweets. The woman is being investigated for international and domestic drug trafficking.

Following the investigations, it was established that she procured the cannabis for the purpose of selling it in Romania, introducing it into the country through an international transport company. Police conducted searches at her home in Timișoara, where they found a smoking device, a pipe, a grinder, and other evidence related to the criminal activity. The woman was detained, and prosecutors proposed preventive arrest for 30 days.
