The survey on Delucru.ro shows that 60% of young people feel financially vulnerable and job searches have increased by 39% among 18-24 year olds, especially for 1-2 hours a day. The cut in welfare grants has prompted 41% of young people to look for extra income, with the majority of applicants coming from big cities. Living costs, including rents, have risen significantly, leading to economic pressure also felt in rural areas. Young people are turning to simple jobs and graduates under 25 face an unemployment rate of 25%.
