On the occasion of World Savings Day, Revolut conducted a study with Dynata, highlighting the attitude of Romanians towards online financial advice. Almost 60% of respondents admitted that they made financial decisions without checking the source, and women are more cautious in following these recommendations.

The fear of scams is the main reason why 45% of Romanians avoid online financial consulting. Additionally, one third of respondents stated that they lost money as a result of online advice, with most losses being under €1,000. Despite these fears, 69% of respondents consider themselves capable of distinguishing between credible advice and scams, with confidence being higher among the youth. Older generations show greater reluctance towards this advice.
