The works on the Bușteni - Azuga Beltway are suspended due to identified instability risks in the railway embankment area, unforeseen in the initial studies.

The Prahova County Council organized a field check and a technical meeting to assess the situation. Recently, deforestation has revealed retaining walls and foundations that had not been previously evaluated due to dense vegetation. This discovery raises questions about the quality of the initial studies. The authorities have decided to request a technical expertise to determine the viability of the current technical solution. The president of CJ Prahova assured that the project is not in danger, but will publicly communicate the results of the expertise. The beltway, with a length of 9.4 km, aims to reduce congestion on DN1 and is estimated at 844 million lei, with a construction duration of 30 months.
