Traffic on the Transalpina remains closed as safety works have been suspended due to bad weather conditions. Recent snowfalls have led to a heavy snow cover on the Rânca - Obârșia Lotrului section and the authorities have stated that they cannot ensure safe working conditions. Officials from the Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges recommend avoiding this section of road to prevent exposure to danger.
