A violent incident took place in the commune of Vizantea-Livezi, Vrancea County, where a police officer was hit in the head with a stone during the intervention to defuse a spontaneous conflict involving over ten people. According to IPJ Vrancea, the incident occurred on Monday afternoon, and the aggressor was identified as a 34-year-old woman from the commune of Răcoasa.

Police established that the altercation was triggered by the consumption of alcoholic beverages. Following the assault, the police officer was transported to the Forensic Medicine Service, where it was determined that he requires 6-7 days of medical care, but is out of any danger.

The woman was taken to the police station for questioning, and following the investigations, a criminal case was opened for disturbing public order and peace, as well as for assaulting a police officer. On Tuesday, the Prosecutor's Office attached to the Panciu Court ordered the woman to be placed under judicial control for a period of 60 days, continuing the investigations in this case.
