The Regional Directorate of Roads and Bridges (DRDP) Timișoara has installed warning signs on several national roads in Timiș County, near the border with Serbia, to inform users about the risk of involuntary roaming.

This phenomenon can generate additional costs, even if users do not leave the territory of Romania, as mobile phones can automatically connect to networks in Serbia, where the signal is often stronger. The signs advise drivers and passengers to check their phone settings, disable data roaming, or manually select the network to avoid unpleasant surprises on their phone bill. The panels have been placed on roads such as DN 6, DN 57, DN 59A, DN 59B, DN 59C, DN 59D, DN 59E, DN 59F, and DN 59G.
