Ashley St Clair, Elon Musk’s former partner and the mother of one of his children, accuses the billionaire of deliberately provoking division through the X platform. She made the statements at the premiere of the documentary “Musk,” presented at the Venice Film Festival, where St Clair warned that the effects of his posts could become catastrophic in the absence of regulation.

St Clair claims that Musk told her in a message that he wanted to have a child with her because he needed “a legion of children before the civil war.” The two had a son in 2024, but their relationship later ended. According to St Clair, Musk’s team allegedly offered her $40 million and a monthly allowance of $100,000 in exchange for signing a nondisclosure agreement, an offer that was withdrawn after she refused.

The former supporter of the MAGA movement says Musk is “fanning the flames” and creating real-world effects through his posts on X. Since buying the platform in 2022, Musk has frequently used his account to promote his political views and support far-right groups.

Director Alex Gibney, who filmed the documentary over three years, says Musk’s preoccupation with the collapse of civilization could be linked to traumatic experiences from his childhood in South Africa. The documentary follows his rise from technology entrepreneur to owner of companies in the space and automotive sectors and one of the most influential political figures online.
