Elon Musk warns Democrats in the event of investigations being opened against him after the elections: “Those who take the sword will die by the sword”

Elon Musk threatened retaliation against those attacking him in a message posted on his account on the X platform, following reports of possible investigations targeting the billionaire and his companies. The message was posted on October 21, 2026, amid the United States midterm elections.

“Those who take the sword will die by the sword,” Musk wrote, adding that he would try to find out “who is really pulling the strings” and pursue those deemed responsible, not just their “puppets.” The entrepreneur did not specify whom he was referring to.

The reaction came after an article published by Politico, according to which senior members of the Democratic Party are examining how several committees could investigate Musk and scrutinize the activities of his companies in the event of a victory in the elections scheduled for November 3.

Possible subjects include Musk’s role in the recent restriction of the Starshield satellite network in Ukraine, the staff and spending cuts carried out in 2025 in the federal administration through the Department of Government Efficiency, as well as potential conflicts of interest related to state contracts and subsidies awarded to SpaceX and Tesla. Musk is the CEO of Tesla and X, the founder of SpaceX, and one of the leading Republican donors.
