Elon Musk allocated approximately $366 million for the U.S. legislative elections on November 3, 2026, according to a CNBC analysis based on documents from the Federal Election Commission. More than $276 million was directed from July onward to Republican organizations and America PAC, the political committee controlled by Musk, with the money used for at least 40 electoral contests, with a focus on races that could determine control of the Senate.
At the same time, on October 21, 2026, Musk posted a warning-style message on the X platform following reports of possible investigations targeting the billionaire and his companies. He wrote that “Those who take up the sword will die by the sword” and added that he would try to find out “who is really pulling the strings,” without specifying whom he was referring to.
