USR Senator Simona Spătaru is asking the mayor of Sector 4, Daniel Băluță, to cancel the urban regeneration tax and return the collected money, accusing him of imposing the highest taxes in Bucharest. Spătaru believes that the suspension of the parking tax is an act of populism and calls for a reduction in the waste collection tax.

In a video message, she criticized the mayor's spending on promotion on television, stating that the money should be used for the benefit of the citizens. USR Sector 4 has convened an extraordinary Local Council meeting to discuss the suspension of the urban regeneration tax and the provision of assistance for the purchase of fuel. Mayor Băluță proposed suspending the urban regeneration tax from April 1 and providing financial support of 200 lei for fuel, aimed at low-income families.
