The leadership of UDMR will meet on Friday to decide on supporting a new Executive, in the context in which President Nicușor Dan is expected to announce the appointment of a prime minister. Kelemen Hunor, the president of UDMR, had an informal discussion with Dan on Thursday at the Cotroceni Palace, and the leader of UDMR deputies, Csoma Botond, confirmed the convening of the meeting. Hunor stated that if he were the President of Romania, he would offer PSD the opportunity to form a government, having the most mandates. He emphasized that a government that must not fall is essential, mentioning that a government with a technocratic prime minister and political ministers would be a worse option than a technocratic government. This meeting comes after recent discussions among the leaders of the former governing coalition to find a new majority in Parliament.
