At the UDMR Congress, the anthems of Romania, Hungary, and Szeklerland were sung. PSD leader Sorin Grindeanu left the room during the Szekler anthem.

The event was attended by the Romanian Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan and the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban (photo, alongside the president of UDMR Kelemen Hunor), with Bolojan remaining in the room during the singing of the Szekler anthem. The president of PSD, Sorin Grindeanu, left the room at that moment but returned later to give a speech. The president Nicușor Dan, initially announced as a participant, was not present at the congress.
