Two soldiers from the Ministry of National Defense are hospitalized at the Botoșani County Emergency Hospital, being hemodynamically stable, after they were injured in an explosion that occurred at 1:30 PM, in a munitions destruction range.

Corporal Daniliuc Dan Florin, aged 36, and Private Anton Andrei, 31, both intubated and mechanically ventilated, are to be transferred by an aircraft of the Romanian Air Force to the 'Regina Astrid' Military Hospital in Brussels, Belgium. The incident occurred during the activities of munitions disposal, specifically of 26 mm signaling cartridges.

Firefighters, SMURD crews, and a SAJ ambulance intervened at the scene, and the soldiers received initial medical care before transport. The Ministry of National Defense is monitoring the health status of the two soldiers, and the unit commander has ordered an investigation to clarify the circumstances of the incident.
