On the first day of Easter, two puppies, Alma and Emma, were brutally murdered by a man in their owners' backyard in revenge for allegedly scaring a child who fell off his bike. CCTV footage shows the man entered the yard and attacked them with a bat. Although the boy did not suffer any animal injuries, the incident sparked outrage and the man was detained and faces up to 7 years in prison. The court's decision to place him under house arrest sparked strong reactions on social media.
