Two Moroccan citizens were found unconscious in the trailer of a truck on DN 5, after they illegally entered Romania.

On Saturday, two Moroccan citizens were discovered unconscious in the trailer of a truck, following a check carried out by border police on DN 5, in Giurgiu County. They had illegally entered Romania, hiding among the transported goods, after cutting the tarpaulins of the trailer.

The check was part of the 'SUMMER MIGRATION 4' operation, and the customs seal of the vehicle, registered in Turkey, was intact. The police requested medical assistance, and after the necessary care, the two were transported to the Giurgiu County Emergency Hospital. Subsequently, they were taken over by the Bulgarian authorities for further investigation.

The Border Police has opened a criminal case for the fraudulent crossing of the border, according to the Penal Code. The operation was conducted in cooperation with the Bulgarian Border Police, in the context of managing migration flows.
