Around 12:20 PM, ISU Bihor was alerted about a traffic accident in Băile Felix, where a van fell into the Peța river. The driver was found in a state of unconsciousness. The firefighters from Gărzii 1 Mai and the 1st Detachment of Oradea quickly intervened with two special vehicles, including a heavy rescue vehicle, and a mobile intensive care ambulance from SMURD Oradea. The intervention teams managed to evacuate the victim from the van and began resuscitation maneuvers. Unfortunately, the doctors' efforts were unsuccessful, and the driver's death was declared at the scene.
